It started with a feeling
We kept finding small ateliers and quiet showrooms run by designers almost no one has heard of, and walking out with bags that could sit on shelves in Paris or Milan. Many of them work in Shanghai, largely unseen beyond it.
The gap was hard to ignore, so we started Reco to close it. A way to bring these designers to the people who'd love their work. Meet the designers.
How We Select Brands
Design with a point of view.
No trend-chasing. No copies of last season's "It" bag. Every brand we carry has a distinct voice, with silhouettes and details you won't see anywhere else.
Premium materials.
Full-grain leathers, fine textiles, refined hardware. Some of what we carry is made with materials on par with the top luxury houses, and we'll tell you when it is.
Excellent craftsmanship.
Hand-finished edges. Even, intentional stitching. Linings as considered as the exterior. Quality you can feel in the first three seconds of holding the bag.
