Welcome to Reco. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of recodot.com and any purchase you make from us. Please read them carefully. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the site.

1. Who we are

Reco. is operated by 16734901 Canada Inc. ("Reco.", "we", "us", or "our"), a Canadian corporation based at 1957 W 15th Ave, Vancouver, BC, Canada. In these Terms, "you" means anyone who accesses the site or places an order.

2. Eligibility

To purchase from Reco., you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province or territory, and capable of entering into a binding contract. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You can shop on Reco. without creating an account, but creating one makes future purchases and tracking easier. If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for any activity under your account. Contact us at service@recodot.com right away if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or close any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.

4. Products, pricing, and orders

Product descriptions and images

We work hard to describe and photograph every bag accurately. Even so, colours and materials may appear slightly different on your screen than in person — that's the nature of leather and natural materials. Many product images are supplied to us by the designers. We make no warranty that images are perfectly representative of the physical product, beyond what's required by law.

Pricing

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise noted. Prices may change without notice, but the price you pay is the price displayed at checkout. Applicable taxes are calculated and shown before you complete your order.

Despite our best efforts, pricing errors can occasionally occur. If we discover an error in the price of a product you've ordered, we'll contact you to confirm whether you'd like to proceed at the corrected price or cancel the order for a full refund.

Order acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase, not a contract. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion — for example, if a product is out of stock, if we suspect fraud, or if there's a pricing error. Your order is accepted only when we send you a shipping confirmation. If we decline an order, we'll refund any payment in full.

Stock availability

Every bag on Reco. is small-batch and hand-picked. We may sell out of items and discontinue products at any time without notice. If a product you ordered becomes unavailable before we ship, we'll refund you in full.

5. Shipping and returns

Shipping, delivery times, and rates are described on our Shipping & Delivery page. Returns and exchanges are described on our Returns & Exchanges page. Both are part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

Reco.'s rights

The Reco. name, logo, website design, layout, photographs we've created, editorial copy, and the curation of designers and products are owned by Reco. or our licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any of this material commercially without our written permission.

Designer rights

The bags sold on Reco. are designed and manufactured by independent design studios. The designs, branding, and intellectual property of each bag remain the property of its respective designer. Reco. licenses product images from these designers for use on this site. Nothing on Reco. transfers any ownership of designer intellectual property to you or to us.

Personal, non-commercial use

You may view, save, and print pages from the site for personal, non-commercial use, provided you don't remove any copyright or trademark notices.

7. User-submitted content

If you submit content to Reco. — for example, product reviews, photos, comments, or feedback — you grant Reco. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the brand. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you share with us, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.

We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content at our discretion.

8. Acceptable use

When using Reco., you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Scrape, harvest, or copy content from the site by automated means without our permission
• Attempt to bypass or interfere with the site's security or functionality
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
• Use the site to send spam, malware, or other harmful material
• Resell products purchased from Reco. for commercial purposes without our written agreement

9. Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make every effort to keep the site accurate, secure, and operational, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reco. disclaims all warranties — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reco.'s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to your use of the site or any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CA$100), whichever is greater.

Reco. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

These limits don't apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reco., its directors, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of Reco. will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll post a notice on the site or notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of the site after we post changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery, and Returns & Exchanges policies, are the entire agreement between you and Reco. with respect to your use of the site.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign these Terms in connection with a corporate restructuring or sale of the business.
